Dominion

Temple Dominion is a Jewish congregation rooted in Torah and committed to living out faith as a daily responsibility. We believe that God created humanity in the Divine image and entrusted all people with purpose, dignity, and responsibility, as expressed in Genesis 1:26, “Let them have dominion.” We understand dominion not as control over others, but as stewardship, accountability, and ethical leadership in every area of life.

We affirm the authority and centrality of the Torah as the foundation of Jewish life, teaching, and practice. We are committed to regular study of Torah and to applying its wisdom to our personal conduct, family life, business practices, and community relationships. We uphold the Ten Commandments as core principles that guide moral behavior, integrity, justice, and respect for God and for one another, shaping how we worship, how we treat others, and how we build strong and trustworthy communities.

We honor and observe Shabbat as a sacred time of rest, reflection, worship, and renewal. Shabbat reminds us that our worth is not measured by productivity alone, and that spiritual balance is essential to healthy living and strong families. We also believe in mindful and respectful living, including eating in ways that honor the body and reflect self-discipline and gratitude. While individuals may be at different stages of observance, we encourage continual growth in clean and conscious living as part of overall spiritual development.

Who We Are And What We Believe

At Temple Dominion, spiritual growth and personal development go hand in hand. We emphasize study, prayer, ethical living, leadership development, and community service as essential expressions of faith. We believe that devotion to God must be demonstrated through action, and that acts of kindness, justice, generosity, and service are central to honoring both God and humanity.

While Temple Dominion is firmly grounded in Jewish tradition, we affirm that the mandate of responsibility and stewardship was given to all humankind. For this reason, we welcome individuals and families from diverse backgrounds who desire to live with purpose, discipline, and ethical responsibility, while honoring the Jewish foundation and identity of this congregation.

Under the leadership of Rabbi Steven D. Brock, Temple Dominion is committed to empowering people to rise beyond limitation and to live with confidence, integrity, and responsibility. We believe that strong faith produces strong character, and strong character builds strong communities.

At Temple Dominion, we are not only a place of worship.
We are a community of learners.
A community of builders.
And a community committed to living out faith with purpose, courage, and love.

All who seek growth, belonging, and meaning are welcome to walk this journey with us.
